TREE CARE

Trees can be planted at any time of the year, but spring and fall are better when the temperatures are cooler and the trees are dormant.

When you plant trees, you should water them thoroughly if rain is not in the forecast. Mulch should be laid around the tree over all of the loose dirt. Watering is not a necessity after they are planted unless there are expected drought conditions.

PLANTING TIPS

Trees with burlap balls and/or wire baskets should be planted with the burlap/cage still on them. The cage will rust away and the burlap will rot away so it will not effect the growth of the tree.

If the planting site has poor soil, you should dig an additional 6 inches around the tree and backfill with quality soil.
